FAQs & POLICIES
What happens if I need to cancel?
For Public Events If you need to cancel, do not message us on social media, text message, or phone call. The only valid cancellations (as stated in our listing policies) are via email to email@example.com. If you notify us via email, at least 24 hours prior to the event, you will receive full credit to be used in the next 3 months. If the credit is not used during the 3-month credit period, then the funds would be forfeited. Cancellations emailed the day of, before noon, will receive 50% credit. Cancellations received after noon the day of have the option of picking up a kit to paint on your own later or sending a friend in your place. Kits will be available for pick up for up to one week after the class. If you cannot pick up your kit within the week, you must email us about arranging a different pick up time; otherwise you forfeit the kit supplies. If you do not show up for the event with little to no notice, you will not receive a class credit or the kit option, you can pick up your sketched canvas, but paint will not be included. Paint will be poured for you and a place will have been prepared for you, so you will forfeit your funds to cover the supplies used for you. We know that emergencies, sickness, and other events happen, however, the cancellation policy is in place so that we can appropriately plan our classes.
There are no exceptions on this policy.
For Private Events: No refunds are available--NO EXCEPTIONS. Upon booking your event, studio time has been reserved for your group and blocked from our calendar. Date Change--If you would like to change the date of the event, you must notify us at least seven (7) days prior to the event and based on availability, we will do our best to reschedule your event.
Can someone attend the class without registering?
No. All attendees must be paid ticket holders. No exceptions. All minors attending regular classes need to fall in the recommended age for the class listing and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also a ticket holder.
what if i am late to class?
If you are late and/or unable to finish your painting within our class time frame you may be asked to take it home to finish on your own time.
my child is attending class, can I leave them?
It depends on the listing details. Classes will be marked as "Drop Off" if this is allowed. If you leave your child for a kid's event, make sure the number you give us is where you can be reached while they are in our studio. The person responsible for picking your child up MUST be present BEFORE scheduled end of class. Any child not picked up by end of class will be billed $1 per minute. This bill will be due upon receipt. If your child isn't picked up within a reasonable amount of time and we haven't heard from you, the police department will be called. (Can you tell this has happened to us before?!)
ARE THERE ANY GENERAL CLASS RULES?
Please be respectful of people around you. We are here to have a great time, but attendees need to be able to hear the artist's instructions. If you are being loud and disruptive, you will be asked to tone it down.
Painting takes approximately 2 hours, some paintings are more time consuming than others, if we know it will be longer, we will show that on the website class time. It is up to you to keep pace with the class.
If you are late, you may have to take your painting home to finish on your own time. Please be respectful of our instructors time and please exit when class is over.
Each class will post the age requirements. Please follow those. Minors must be accompanied with a painting adult (meaning you both have tickets), unless otherwise noted. Classes marked 18 and over often become mature in nature on occasion and children require more attention than we can give them. We want Lush Art to be a place adults can go to relax and be themselves without having to censor themselves. We offer kid private events, child and family events, and kid's art camps. Children are allowed to come to private events.
Is there a minimum number of participants to hold a class?
Yes! Participants are limited to 20 and we reserve the right to cancel open classes if we do not have a minimum of 4 people registered. A choice of refunds or credit will be issued in this case. Please make sure you use an email you actually check when registering as this is how communication will be sent.
Are there any other policies I should be aware of?
When you register you are releasing Lush Art of any liability of personal property. Acrylic paint does NOT come out of clothing once it dries. Do not bring anything in you don't want paint on.
If you drink you are releasing Lush Art of any responsibility, and you are agreeing that you are to drink responsibly, Lush Art LLC has the right to refuse service to anyone at any time during a party without a refund.
You are also agreeing to allow the use of any photos taken during the class to be used on the website, social media, or as advertising.
What if i didn't have fun?
Lush Art strives to make sure everyone has a great experience and leaves with a painting they like. However, due to the time and energy we put into each class, Lush Art does not provide refunds for experiences you did not enjoy. REMEMBER learning art is a journey, and you must trust the process. Practice will help you improve.
What if I didn't show up to class?
We understand that emergencies happen, but this ticket should be seen as a concert ticket. Whether you attend or not, we have allotted that seat and used supplies for you. You are responsible for sending someone in your place if you cannot make it. No shows will not be given credit or refund. We will save your sketched canvas to be picked up either during office hours or during a regular evening class. Canvases will not be held longer than one week.
Can I request a specific seat?
Yes! We do our best to accommodate seating requests by having assigned seating.
Those that have vision or hearing impairments, need wheelchair access, etc must include that information in the notes section at checkout, so we can plan out seating accordingly.
We also make sure to seat people in the same party together. That information will also need to be given in the notes section at checkout.
We are in a small studio space, so changes can not always be accommodated upon arrival.
Where do i park?
Please park in our studio parking lot in a way that allows for the most parking spots. Only park in the handicap posted spot if you have a handicap sticker.
DO NOT PARK IN A WAY THAT BLOCKS THE RAMP ENTRANCE. The ramp is how people will access the studio.
Additional parking can be in the grass next to the studio or across the street. Please use caution when crossing the street.
How do I book more than one ticket
In order to book multiple tickets on one transaction, each ticket must be added to the cart individually by selecting "add another service." This will take you back to the listing page, so you can add additional tickets. Once you have the correct amount of tickets in your cart, you can select "confirm booking" to move on to the checkout page.
What are the prices for a class?
The prices depend on the type of class you are attending. Prices are listed on each individual class. Generally, public classes (our regularly scheduled classes), includes canvas, supplies, and instruction (some exceptions apply) are $40 per painter. Generally our kid events are $25 per person. Art camps, special events, cookie decorating, and stained glass vary. Private Events include canvas, supplies, and instruction (some exceptions apply). DOES LUSH ART OFFER DISCOUNTS?
We offer a 10% discount for active military and their spouses on adult open classes (does not include in studio purchases, gift purchases, kid's events, or private events) You must enter coupon code: activemilitary. Only one coupon per class. Must be used at time of purchase.
Coupons can only be redeemed through our online booking system, not available in studio.
No refunds on coupons not used during time of purchase. No exceptions.
